What's the Developing Yourself and Others course about?

Teams will only be fully effective when members are fully trained to play their part in achieving the team's objectives. Also a major factor in job satisfaction is the opportunity for individual and team development of personal and work skills. Whether or not your organisation has a training function, the line manager is the key player in ensuring that training and development needs are identified and met. This course aims to assist people in maximising development opportunities for themselves and their team.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and define development needs
- Gather ideas and information on development opportunities
- Select appropriate methods for development
- Provide support to those undertaking development
- Plan, monitor and evaluate learning

A hands-on approach is taken during this course. The exercises are designed to impart relevant skills and knowledge by having participants work through real-life examples and scenarios.
