This course aims to provide students with the basic skills and techniques necessary to produce a simple, skirt, designed and made to your own specifications. All materials for samples will be supplied but students will have to purchase materials for their own individual projects.
The course covers the following
- Basic skirt pattern cutting including block to own measurements
- Darts
- Seams
- Zips
- Waistbands
- Hems
There is no formal assessment but feedback is given throughout the course to support learning.
This course could lead to self-employment or work within the creative industries.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
This course does not lead to a formal qualification but the work produced but the experience gained can be used to support applications for accredited courses.
As the definition of full time and part time can vary from course to course, please check with the tutor as to the exact number of hours study each week this course will entail.
