What's the Design and Make a Basic Shirt/Blouse course about?

This course aims to provide students with the basic skills and techniques necessary to produce a simple, shirt/blouse, designed and made to your own specifications. All materials for samples will be supplied but students will have to purchase materials for their own individual projects.

The course covers the following:
- Basic shirt/blouse pattern cutting
- Darts
- Seams
- Sleeves
- Collars and cuffs
- Hems

There is no formal assessment but feedback is given throughout the course to support learning.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

The course can lead to work in the creative industries or self-employment.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

No formal qualifications are required but an aptitude towards practical subjects would be an advantage.

Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the Design and Make a Basic Shirt/Blouse course?
