Most jobs these days require effective team-working, but this does not always happen without the active intervention of the team leader, whose role it is to identify and develop team roles and ensure that all are working together to achieve the organisation's objectives. This is the case whether the leader is able to build a new team or must remotivate and challenge teams who have been working together for some time.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Set, monitor and feed back on team as well as individual goals
- Recognise and develop individual and team roles
- Use individual skills and characteristics to benefit the team as a whole
- Understand and plan for the recognised stages in team development
- Encourage and support the use of teamwork to achieve objectives
Our courses incorporate the best of experiential teaching and learning methods, including participatory exercises, games and activities to keep you energised, engaged and informed throughout the day.
We offer a range of management courses from ILM awards and certificates to foundation degrees and the Professional Diploma in Management Studies. We also have an extensive range of short courses for managers and professionals to complement this course.
