What's the Beauty Therapy course about?

This course is designed to build on knowledge and skills gained at level 2 and is particularly suitable for those wishing to supervise and train therapists in a professional salon. Students will carry out advanced technical tasks and services for clients such as body massage, aromatherapy, body and facial electrical therapy and epilation.

Core skills taught include:
- Financial Effectiveness of Business
- Head and Body Massage
- Health and Safety
- Epilation
- Aromatherapy (pre blended)
- Key Skills
- Facial Electrical
- Body Electrical
- Anatomy and Physiology

You will be assessed by assignments and a written exam.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

There are employment opportunities in beauty salons, leisure and health spa centres, in hotels, cruise liners, health resorts, electrolysis clinics or in retail outlets. Students may wish to progress onto further qualifications in aromatherapy, reflexology, sports massage or management.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

Students are required to have an NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy (or equivalent). All students will be interviewed to see if the course is right for them and may be required to provide a reference.

Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the Beauty Therapy course?

You will be awarded the C&G Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
