What's the Basic Wall and Floor Tiling course about?

This qualification has been designed to introduce individuals to the basics of wall and floor tiling. Through a series of hands-on practical sessions, working under close supervision, you will learn how to tile a range of surfaces to a professional level.

The course covers the following:
- Basic health and safety
- Using tiling tools and equipment
- Preparing surfaces for tiling
- Measuring and cutting
- Applying adhesive
- Tiling walls and floors
- Tiling around objects
- Grouting and sealing

There is no formal assessment for this course.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

Students who complete this course would be able to progress into employment or gain entry onto a related Construction Skills Diploma at level 2.
