What's the ATA Pre-test Programme course about?

Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) is a national voluntary scheme which tests the current competence of individuals working in the retail motor industry. This pre-test programme includes all the underpinning knowledge needed to prepare for ATA assessments.

You can choose pre-test programmes in the following areas:
- Paint
- Body
- MET
- Air Conditioning

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

On completion of this course technicians will be prepared to undertake the ATA practical assessments and online knowledge tests.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

This course is aimed at technicians with a minimum of two years' industry experience in an appropriate role.

Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the ATA Pre-test Programme course?

This is a skills based course and does not entail any form of assessment.
