What's the Art, Design and Media course about?

This course is aimed at creative individuals who want to expand and broaden their existing skills in art, design and media. Students will create a portfolio of work based on their chosen media, whether traditional or modern.

Units studied include:
- Recording and responding in art, design and media
- Combined experimental studies in art, design and media
- Personal preparation in art, design and media
- Media development in art, design and media
- Personal confirmatory studies

Assessment is through assignments, practical assessments and a final visual portfolio of practical skills suitable for industry standards.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

This qualification can lead on to further study at HE level, such as a foundation degree. Career opportunities are varied - the qualification is designed to allow the student to build a portfolio suitable for interview for employment or HE.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

Applicants should have a portfolio of existing work, plus a level 2 qualification in English/Maths, or a Level 2 Diploma in Media Production.

Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the Art, Design and Media course?

You will be awarded the ABC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media.
