This follow-on course is the progression route for students who have completed one of our Languages for Beginners courses at the college. Students that already have a basic knowledge of the language (including: basic pronunciation, alphabet, numbers, days, months, asking and responding to simple questions) may be eligible to attend the course but would have to complete an initial assessment prior to enrolling.
The course will essentially be based around everyday situations and vocabulary from topics including:
- Food and drink
- Shopping
- Accommodation
- Travelling
- Hobbies, etc
There is no formal assessment on this course.
On completion of this course you can progress to GCSE Arabic.
Applicants should have completed one of our Languages for Beginners courses at the college. However, those applicants that already have a basic knowledge of the language may be eligible to attend the course, but would have to complete an initial assessment prior to enrolling.
This course does not lead to a formal qualification but candidates that complete the course will receive a certificate of attendance.
As the definition of full time and part time can vary from course to course, please check with the tutor as to the exact number of hours study each week this course will entail.
