Whilst not a mandatory course, annual updates are strongly recommended by the HSE for all holders of the three-day First Aid at Work course and holders of the two-day First Aid at Work Requalification course. The course delivery will be by formal lecture, discussion, demonstration and practical simulation.
Please note, this course can be delivered on client premises and group rates are available on request.
The course covers the following:
- Resuscitation
- Control of bleeding
- Control of the unconscious casualty
A checklist will be used to assess a demonstration of each individual's ability in first aid techniques.
Individuals may wish to progress to the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
Applicants should have already completed the HSE First Aid at Work Certificate.
This is a short course and does not lead to a formal qualification. Delegates will receive a college certificate.
As the definition of full time and part time can vary from course to course, please check with the tutor as to the exact number of hours study each week this course will entail.
