This program is designed to develop practical skills and knowledge in the design and construction of pages for the World Wide Web. It is intended for professionals and hobbyists who wish to prepare information for publication on the Internet.
The content of the course is made up of:
- Web Page creation software (Dreamweaver etc. and HTML mark-up language)
- Javascript, forms, database integration ODBC using ASP, Cascading Style Sheets, FTP site maintenance including testing, compatibility and evaluation
- Roll over
- Drop down menu
The programme is assessed through three in-class practical assignments and documentary evidence of skills and knowledge.
The course can lead to employment in the area of web design and further courses in website management.
Applicants should have completed an Introduction to Website Design course or have relevant experience demonstrating knowledge of HTML and other authoring software.
This course does not lead to a formal qualification.
As the definition of full time and part time can vary from course to course, please check with the tutor as to the exact number of hours study each week this course will entail.
