What's the Adobe Illustrator Fundamentals course about?

This course will provide you with the core skills to get you started in vector based drawing using Adobe Illustrator.

Core skills taught include:
- Illustrator overview
- The pen tool
- Document groups
- Objects
- Working with basic shapes
- Drawing modes
- Paths
- Compound shapes
- Live trace
- Anchor points
- Pencil tool
- Colour modes
- Live paint
- Preparing for print

The course will be taught by lectures demonstrations and mini class assignments.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

On successful completion of this course you will have the opportunity to progress on further skills-based courses in Illustrator, or any other application of your choosing. There will also be the opportunity of progressing onto full-time courses in the media department.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

It would be desirable for applicants to have good basic computer skills, including knowledge of saving and finding files efficiently and using a mouse and keyboard.

Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the Adobe Illustrator Fundamentals course?
