What's the Accounting (AAT) course about?

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) offers accounting qualifications that are both nationally and internationally recognised. It is an ideal route for those people who are starting out in their career as an accounting technician, or for those working in this role but who wish to gain a recognised qualification.

Areas covered include:
- Basic accounting 1
- Basic accounting 2
- Basic costing
- Work effectively in accounting and finance
- Computerised accounting

The course is assessed by examinations and computer based projects. All examinations are set and marked by the AAT. You can complete an online examination for the exam assessed units.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

Once you have successfully completed this course you can go on to do the AAT Level 3 Diploma for Accounting Technicians.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

The course is entirely open access - no prior qualifications are needed.

Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the Accounting (AAT) course?

You will be awarded an AAT Level 2 Certificate for Accounting Technicians.
