Sustainability training

Most organisations cannot afford to ignore their corporate responsibility, especially when it comes to sustainability. Training in this area can offer innumerable social and environmental gains as well as increased business opportunities. Keeping apace with the latest design innovations, best practice and legislation can result in improved and more profitable operations, as well as an enhanced reputation both in the community and with customers.

Potentially any sector could have sustainability programme designed to suit its needs, but some sectors would benefit more than others, including the following:

  • Construction and building services engineering
  • Facilities management and property
  • Retail
  • Energy and utilities
  • Science, manufacturing and engineering
  • Environmental and land-based
  • Passenger transport
  • Freight logistics
  • Hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism
  • General management, financial and professional and HR

We have experienced staff who already deliver training for all of these sectors. Working with you, we’d like to find out how we can integrate sustainability into the training we already provide or design new stand alone programmes to meet your needs.

What we can do for you

Before we start planning and developing our sustainability offering, we’d love to hear from you to find out what your needs are.

We are currently exploring each of the following possibilities:

Adding sustainability content into existing courses

Example: we have already started integrating sustainability into our construction training with all of the courses below containing a focus on green technologies and practices

  • 14-19 Specialist Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment
  • Construction Skills Diplomas
  • Building Services Diploma
  • C&G Construction Materials Distribution
  • HNC Construction
  • FdSC Construction Management

Delivering stand alone sustainability qualifications approved by awarding bodies

Example: we are currently able to deliver the NCFE Level 1 and Level 2 Award in Sustainable Development.

Working with awarding bodies to develop new sustainability qualifications

Example: we are currently working with the Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE) to develop a range of qualifications linked to energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint in the property arena.

Developing short unaccredited training programmes designed specifically around the organisation’s needs

Example: our sustainability centre and training facility has been designed with the purpose of disseminating best practice in sustainable low carbon design and 21st century building techniques. Just tell us what your needs are and we’ll draw upon our experience to develop the training that’s right for you.
